Getting in the right state to make GREAT decisions
High-Level Decision Making and State Transformation
While I’d be thrilled to delve into all the insights gathered over those intense four days (I’ve got over 50 pages of notes to prove it), that would take a considerable amount of time. So, let’s zero in on a crucial lesson:
To make impactful decisions, you must elevate yourself to a high-level state.
If settling for average, low-level choices suits you, feel free to stay unmotivated and slouched in your chair. However, if you’re aiming for exceptional, high-level decisions filled with confidence, read on.
First, crank up the volume and pick an energetic, fast-paced song you adore—perhaps something like “Shake” by Mercy Me. Now, stand up. Yes, right now. Then, shake out your entire body. What’s the holdup? Seriously, give it a good shake.
Alright, now that you’ve got that covered, take a little jump. Go higher, even higher! Jump as if you’re a carefree kid at a trampoline park. Disregard any concerns about what others might think; just take that leap.
Now, I understand you might be thinking, “What is this guy suggesting? I’ll look like a fool, and everyone’s watching.” But here’s the deal: if you’re aiming for exceptional, high-level decisions, you’ve got to be willing to do what others won’t.
So, let out a noise that genuinely brings you joy. Now, make it louder. Louder still. Did you give it a shot? If not, you won’t grasp the full effect.
Next, jump up and down once more, just like a carefree kid in a mud puddle. Are you doing it? Fantastic! Now, let that happy noise out again. Louder this time.
Alright, settle back down. Create some commotion in your seat; move around like you did when standing. It should be enough to make you want to stand up again.
Now, take just 10 minutes and tackle that task you were grappling with before. Make those high-level decisions you hesitated to make.
I get the skepticism, but here’s the deal: It’s entirely your call whether to give this a shot. What’s the worst that could happen? You might look a bit silly, but you gain the ability to make outstanding decisions.
I follow Russell Brunson’s advice to seek guidance from influential figures with helicopters and impressive stage presence. If it works for Tony Robbins and works for me, it can work for you too. The crucial element is believing it will work. Before making decisions, you must align your body, mind, and heart in the right state; otherwise, they’re likely to be mediocre at best.
Consider this: would you settle for a mediocre life partner? Probably not. You want a perfect 10, not a mere 6. So, why should your decisions be any different?
Since learning this directly from Tony at the live event, I apply it daily. Whether I am preparing to teach a course, write something, or make significant business decisions, I do it. Because if I’m not fully present, I’m not living my best life. We have one life to live, and we get to choose how we live it. We can settle for mediocrity, or we can strive for excellence.
Now, it’s your turn to decide: do you want to live a life rated at 6, or do you aspire to live a life rated at 100+? I’m all in, playing hard every day.
Before I conclude, here’s one more golden nugget: life is what we make it. We can choose to be broke, poor, busy, tired, hungry, and unsatisfied. Alternatively, we can choose to be fulfilled, satisfied, wealthy, healthy, faithful, and deeply in love. It’s entirely up to us, and we make that decision every single day we wake up.
Now, one last thing to ponder: have you ever felt like you loved your significant other but might not be “in love” with them anymore? It’s a common feeling in many relationships, and I’ve experienced it myself. Can you recall something that used to be cute but has now become annoying? That’s a choice.
So, here’s the solution: make the conscious decision to change your state right now.
In our quest to explore the power of getting into the right state for making high-level decisions, we’ve witnessed incredible transformations. Today, we bring you real stories from individuals who embraced this practice and experienced remarkable results.

Hi Dan!
Thank you so much for the heartfelt anniversary wishes and the special bonus!
I’m forever grateful to you and Jenna for taking a chance on me back in 2022!
And I’m always thankful that you gave me your websites, including God First Life Next. I recall doing the activities you encouraged your readers to do in your devotional article that week.
By the way, this was the article: https://godfirstlifenext.org/project/getting-in-the-right-state-to-make-great-decisions/I always remember that that devotional article is what encouraged me to keep applying for the Bookkeeper role you’d post on Online Jobs. It’s after reading your devotional that week and after doing the activities (shaking out my whole body, jumping as high as I can, making a noise that makes me happy, which is “meow” because I love cats, lol), that I felt empowered to face my fears because I knew that God would be with me no matter what happened.
Please continue to post devotional articles, Dan. You have no idea how many people love and find inspiration and confidence through your devotional articles.
I am always grateful to be part of the Eclipse DOT family!!
Sincerely,
Richelle
Richelle’s journey highlights the universal applicability of this approach. The willingness to step into discomfort for the sake of better decisions is a common thread among those who’ve witnessed positive changes.
Ready to turn inspiration into action? Now is the moment to take that leap and experience it firsthand. The stories you’ve encountered here offer just a glimpse into the multitude of transformations waiting for those bold enough to challenge the status quo.
In conclusion, we celebrate the stories of those who chose to elevate their decision-making. As you embark on this journey, remember that greatness often begins with a willingness to embrace the unconventional.
