Everything in life happens for us, not to us.
Every event has a purpose, even if the reason is not immediately clear. I have steadfastly believed that life’s occurrences are not random; they happen with intention and meaning, shaping our journey.
Reflecting on my past, I discern instances where God directed my path unbeknownst to me. Take, for instance, my decision not to enlist in the military right after high school. Although my plan was to join the Army immediately after graduation, destined for basic training and warrant officers’ school, a different path unfolded.
Consider the time I didn’t secure a full-time position with the paid fire department. Initially disheartened, I questioned how I could have faltered. Despite working part-time and earning the respect of many squads, a full-time role eluded me. Yet, in hindsight, I realize it was a redirection, leading me toward unforeseen opportunities.
In embracing the belief that everything happens for us, we open ourselves to the wisdom that life’s intricate tapestry is purposefully woven, each thread contributing to our unique journey.
