Today, I want to take you on a deeply personal journey of faith, resilience, and the unwavering belief in God’s divine timing that led me to embark on a path I once resisted: entrepreneurship.
In my formative years, the concept of owning a business seemed distant and unappealing. I vividly recall my father’s words cautioning against the weight of responsibility that comes with providing livelihoods for others. At the time, I couldn’t fathom carrying such a burden. Little did I know, those very experiences were preparing me for a destiny I hadn’t yet envisioned.
My early adulthood was marked by a series of diverse jobs that exposed me to a plethora of life lessons. These experiences, although seemingly unrelated, were the building blocks of the entrepreneur I was destined to become. They molded me into someone capable of navigating the challenges of leadership and business ownership.
After years of resisting the idea, a turning point arrived when I chose to become a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) tester. This endeavor was no easy feat, demanding unwavering perseverance and a year and a half of relentless hard work. Yet, during my extensive travels for work, a spark of inspiration ignited within me, coalescing into a business concept that my wife, Jenna, and I began to develop.
The pivotal moment in this journey occurred when I decided to share my entrepreneurial aspirations with my employer. To my astonishment, he not only supported my dreams but also actively encouraged my personal and professional growth. This unexpected show of support was a testament to the divine orchestration of events in my life.
The essence of my story lies in the belief that God’s timing is immaculate. If I had taken on a leadership role earlier, I might never have arrived at the place where I stand today, leading two successful ventures: Eclipse DOT and God First Life. Through my experiences, I’ve learned to trust in God’s plan, recognizing that He knows what’s best for us, even when we are unaware of it.
